Course Description

Whether you’re creating your own curriculum from scratch or adding your own special sauce to someone else’s materials, developing “the right” curriculum for the “right audience” can be challenging. There are so many factors to consider. Does it align with your school’s mission and your subject standards? Is it student-centered and designed for optimal transfer, etc, etc? The goal of this course is to provide classroom educators like you with the knowledge, understanding, and methodologies needed to develop more engaging and effective curriculum, so that you can better meet your and your students’ unique needs. This course will help you:

  • Engage and motivate students.
  • Identify and meet students’ learning needs.
  • Develop better lesson and unit plans.
  • Assess students’ progress.
  • Recognize the impact made with relevant curricula.
